It is like the adhesive-backed discs with the added advantage of a reusable sanding pad. The sanding discs which are backed by adhesive are simply pulled off and attached to the sanding pad which is reusable. The discs have an 80-grit abrasive that will enable you to remove joint compound on your walls and sand rough surfaces. After the first coarse sanding is done, other discs can be changed with higher grit for better sanding.
