The Ariens Company 04641300 Trimmer Shaft Cutter Hex is connected to the drive system by transmitting rotational force through an interface that connects the shaft to the cutting mechanism. It rotates with the assembly, allowing motion to transfer through the coupling so the cutting head can operate in sync with engine output during use cycles. It is positioned inside the trimmer housing at the shaft connection point, fitted between the drive end and cutter assembly within the lower power transmission section of the body.
