Description

The Briggs & Stratton 590402 Engine Ring Set is a part of piston-mounted rings designed to aid in the control of compression and oil regulation in compatible systems. The rings are fitted into grooves around the piston so that the rings always touch the cylinder wall during the operating cycle. This interaction regulates combustion pressure and distribution on internal surfaces. Proper sealing to maintain optimum combustion conditions and minimize the escape of gases from the piston. During normal equipment operation the ring is set to balanced mechanical operation and accurate power generation.
