• Fuel shut-off solenoid does not activate.

• Intermittent engine operation caused by fuel interruption.

• Clicking sound from the solenoid without proper fuel flow.

Fuel Solenoid Failure

Quick Check: If the engine cranks but will not start, listen for the solenoid click when the ignition is switched on.

Fix Suggestion: Replace the fuel solenoid if it does not activate or extend correctly.

Prevention Tip: Keep electrical terminals clean and protected from corrosion.

Power Supply Issue

Quick Check: If the fuel shut-off solenoid does not activate, verify voltage is reaching the solenoid connector.

Fix Suggestion: Repair damaged wiring or restore power to the electrical circuit.

Prevention Tip: Inspect the wiring harness during routine maintenance.

Electrical Connection Problem

Quick Check: If engine operation is intermittent, inspect the connector for loose or corroded terminals.

Fix Suggestion: Clean or replace damaged connectors and ensure a secure electrical connection.

Prevention Tip: Protect connectors from moisture and vibration.

Restricted Fuel Control

Quick Check: If the engine stalls immediately after starting, confirm the solenoid remains energized while the engine is running.

Fix Suggestion: Install a new fuel solenoid if it fails to stay open during operation.

Prevention Tip: Regularly inspect the fuel shutoff system for proper operation.

Customer Experience: After installing this replacement solenoid, the mower started normally again and no longer shut off during operation.
