Description
The Briggs & Stratton 697106 Engine Sump operates by forming a sealed lower chamber that contains engine oil and assists with circulation through internal lubrication passages during operation. It maintains the enclosed crankcase area by holding oil at the base of the engine while allowing movement through designated channels for lubrication of internal parts during engine operation cycles. It is installed at the bottom of the engine block, where it attaches to the crankcase as the lower structure for the lubrication system in engine assemblies.
