Campbell Hausfeld 059-0097 Crankcase Breather designed for use with specific air compressors, including the HB55, HB75 and HB100. This part plays a very important role in maintaining the internal pressure balance of the compressor's crankcase. By the way by allowing air out of the crankcase, excessive pressure does not build up which can cause oil leaks or damage to internal seals. As the compressor is operating, air and gases are accumulating in the crankcase. The breather is to allow these gases to escape to maintain proper internal pressure.
