Description

The Husqvarna 537202701 Chain Brake is an actuator that stops the chainsaw chain from turning when power is let out by the operator. This brake engages if the chain does not engage with the guide bar or if the operator is out of control with the saw. The chain brake system operates by pulling a brake shoe that presses against the chain and halts the chain almost immediately. It helps in minimising kickback, which is a dangerous event that may lead to severe destructions hence this quick reduction of speed.
