Description

The Knaack 70267 Chest Dampening Spring 4830-D will soften the opening and closing of a chest lid, and not allow it to slam. It operates by absorbing and regulating the movement of the lid and providing a smoother and slower movement as the lid moves up or down. The spring goes in the hinge mechanism of the chest where the dampening mechanism used to be. When fitted it allows controlled lid motion and this lowers the hinge wear and noise is minimized.
