The MTD 918-06993A Lawn Tractor Blade Spindle Assembly is designed to hold the cutting blade and to rotate it for efficient mowing. The power is transferred to the spindle shaft before the belts and the shaft rotates in the housing, enabling the blade attached to it to rotate continuously over the cutting width. It is mounted under the mower deck and is a key part of the cutting system allowing to ensure that the blades to be aligned properly during the process.
