Description
The Ridgid 17512 Knockout Punch 1-1/4" cuts clean circular openings in metal by drawing a hardened punch through a die using a threaded draw stud, and applying turning force from a wrench or driver. It aligns the punch and die on opposite sides of the sheet, and as tension increases along the stud, material is evenly sheared progressively until a smooth round hole is formed. It is positioned over marked conduit entry points in electrical metal panels, boxes, cabinets, and various enclosures where consistent diameter openings are required for secure fittings, connectors, and wiring pass-through areas.
